Flaunt It Friday Challenge #12

This week at Flaunt It Friday we had to use the girl image from the Forever Young Cartridge. I have a girlfriend's birthday coming up so thought this was the perfect opportunity to do her a card.
This is what I came up with. I used the extra part of the cutout to make a matching envelope.

Brother's Birthday Card

So I guess you might be thinking that I post a lot of Brother's Birthday cards? Just so you know the reason why, I have 7 brother's. LOL. Good thing I'm into card making, all the Birthday's was costing me a fortune :)
So here is another one. My brother Andrew had his birthday last week so I made him this card. I must say this is one of my favourites. I just love how it turned out.

Husband's Birthday

Just thought I would quickly share with you the Birthday cards I made for my Husband who had his birthday a couple of weeks ago.
The first card was made with the help of my 4 yr old son Dylan. He is totally Batman Mad so he had heaps of fun putting this one together.
The second card I quickly put together. I stamped and clear embossed the sentiment onto white card and then I rubbed over it with Tim Holts Red Brick ink. The colour matched the card really well.
Lastly Hayden (my other 4 yr old) helped me make these cute little golf tee gift bags.

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #44

So first up I have to tell you I won an "Ohh-La-La" blog award for my anniversary card from My Sheri Craft last week. I am super excited. It is the first time any of my challenge entries have been recognised. Thanks heaps My Sheri Crafts :)

This week the challenge is Valentine's Day. I have been working on this mini album (4 x 4) for my husband for a little bit now. I only have to finish putting in some pictures and some more embellishments. I simply love it. The homemade flower and the flocking on the paper gives is such wonderful texture. I sure hope he likes it when I give it to him. Hope to have it finished for our 10 year anniversary in May. I'm sure I will. LOL.

Hope you all like it :)

Happy Belated Valentine's Day

Sorry I forgot to post this yesterday. I did this card up for a friend here who is single. I thought she might like some hugs on this day of Love :)
I used my I-rock and I must say this took ages to make even though I looks quite simple. Those crystals took forever to get in the right place and stick down.

Scrappy Mom's Challenge

This is just the cutes challenge ever. It is on the Scrappy Mom's blog and you have to use a cut from the "Simply Charmed" cart. I chose to do another St Patrick's Day card. I added some goggly eyes and stole a pirate money coin from the kids toy box. I decided to cut him out some pants and I coloured around all the cuts with my copics. Also I didn't have any skin coloured card so I used white and coloured it too. LOL. I think I am going to send this one to my Sister in London who is dating an Irish guy :0).
Hope you like it. It is my first ever shape card that I did on my Gypsy. I simply love how it turned out and think this might be my next favourite thing.

Brother's Birthday Card

Hello again,
It was my brother's birthday yesterday so I made him this card. He works in IT. My little boys think he is awesome. It really fits his personality and I think he loved it.

FCCB - Love Challenge

There is Love in the Air.
I've just completed my husband's Valentine's day card and have decided to enter it into the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. The rules were that it had to have a cricut cut and it had to have the word love on there.
My cut is from the Wall Decor and More cart. I used some glitter sticker sheets for the heart and some Kaisercraft paper that has the word Love all over it. I Love this card and I sure hope my DH does too. xx

Basic Grey - Birthday Cards

Hi There,
Both of these cards were made from a Basic Grey kit. I changed them both up a little though. The first one was for my Mum's b'day in mid Jan and the second was for my Mother in Law's b'day late Jan. This kit has some really lovely cards and ideas in it.

Birthday Card for SIL

I did this birthday card up a few months ago now. It was for my Brother's girlfriend. I had to use a few stamps. I actually love how this card turned out and it was super easy :)

Flaunt It Friday Challenge #10

I found this great challenge blog called "Flaunt it Fridays" that choses a cut from a random cricut cartridge each friday and you have to post your project with that cut on it. This weeks challenge was to use the lips on the Indie Art Cartridge. I really like this cartridge. It was one of my first and I have used it a few times now.
Anyway, I came up with the idea of a St Patrick's Day card. Lots of people were doing Valentine's Day cards so I decided to do something different. I went with all greens and think it turned out really well. The Clover is the club cut from the same cartridge and I just trimmed the base of it. Sentiment is from My Pink Stamper. The quality of her stamps are top notch. What do you think?
Keep posted because I have HEAPS of card to put up over the coming few days. I've done a few lately but have had to wait to give them away before I could post them cause I know a few of my family keep an eye on my blog :)
Take Care
Nikki

MIA - Sorry

Sorry for my lack of posts for the last few months. I have been making plenty of cards and went crazy over Christmas. The problem I have faced is I forgot to take pictures of many of my projects so don't have much to post.
Some of my family have asked me to start updating again so I've decided to try and put 2 new projects up per week.

With our recent move to Mount Isa I am still slowly arranging my studio. It is a bit of a mess but I plan on getting in there on my two days off this week and getting it cleaned up. I will then be able to apply my self completely to my crafting without thinking about everything that needs to be done.

A friend of ours had a baby boy a few weeks ago. And just last night my brother and his wife had a little girl. She is so cute.

Last nights wedding

Here is picture of my Husband and I all ready to go to the wedding. It was a very successful evening and yes I now have a headache. One of our friends went into labour during the reception and 2 hours later had a little boy. It was such a magical evening.

I decided to wrap the gift in the same style as the card. I think it turned out great.

Wedding card

I did this card up for a couple whose wedding we are attending on Saturday. I didn't use my cricut or cuttlebug, but tried my hand at some stamping. My stamp smudged a little so I decided to cover it with Vellum. I really love the effect and how it softens the whole card. I got my inspiration for this card from an image from a google search. Have no idea who did it though.

40th Birthday cards

Well life has been a little hectic of late so I'm terribly sorry for not having posted anything in a while.

I have two 40th birthday parties coming up this weekend so I decided to try my hand at a diorama card. I am amazed at how much fun I had on these two cards. I must thank the lovely Elizabeth at http://217creations.blogspot.com/ for the Gypsy cut file for this card. I followed her tutorial just recently posted and decided to add the 40 to the centre. I am absolutely stoked at how these cards turned out. My husband is just blown away so thank you again Elizabeth for the help on this one. :o)

All paper is DCWV. On the Green/Purple on I decided to cuttlebug and ink the centre page.

I'm still not sure how you wrap/envelope these guys so I might just pop back over to Elizabeths blog and ask her how it is done.

Cheers
Nikki

My First Mini Album Complete

Well it took a week to do and about 14 hours all up. I am really happy with the outcome. I've decided to give it to my neighbour for her 40th birthday. She has the two sweetest little girls and I'm sure she will be able to fill it with all their pictures. My darling Husband thinks it is a little too pink, but hey what does he know, hehehe.

Page 6 of mini Complete

Well just got the last page done. Now just have to give the final touches. Be back in about 5 minutes.

Wow put in some time today and got a couple of more pages done. Only 3 more to go (including the back) so I hope to get it completed tomorrow or Saturday. Thanks to those who have been following along :o). Oh Stephanie, the book is 7" tall but I've yet to measure the width of each page.
